Sushma calls on Malaysian PM Razak

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today invited more Indian investors to leverage on Malaysia's strategic location to strengthen their presence in the ASEAN region and beyond. PM Modi said, "Great pleasure to welcome the Malaysian PM".

Najib added that Modi's visit led to the deepening of existing areas of cooperation and the exploration of new areas of cooperation between the two nations. "Indian languages, culture and food are popular in Malaysia", he said.

India is now Malaysia's tenth-largest trading partner, seventh-largest export destination and 12th-largest source of imports.

The Prime Minister was on a six-day official visit to India, and would proceed to New Delhi later this evening. He said police still wanted to question four other suspects believed to be in North Korea.

In New Delhi, Najib will be accorded an official welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace, make a courtesy call on the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, followed by a restricted meeting with his Indian counterpart and a bilateral meeting with senior members of both delegations.
