Several hundred youngsters, ranging in age from 2-weeks old to 8 took part in the 18th Annual Douglas Dispatch Easter Egg Hunt which was held this past Saturday at Armando DeLucas Stadium.

There were close to 1,000 plastic eggs that had either candy or toys inside. They'll have an Easter egg hunt, child-friendly yoga, farm gate sales and lots of farm animals to meet. There will also be pictures with Bourgeois the Bunny. The gates open at 1:15 p.m. and the begins at 1:30 p.m.

When the horn sounded it didn't take long for the field to be picked clean.

William Penn University hosted its 10th annual Easter Egg Hunt Wednesday afternoon on the lawn in front of Penn Hall. The egg hunt was the highlight, with face painting, music, art activities, juggling, magic, and a petting zoo enhancing the family experience.

MUMC has also invited the public to attend their Cantada "Come to the Cross and Remember" on Wednesday and Thursday April 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. Participants should bring a decorated, personalized hard-boiled egg for the egg roll, after which prizes will be awarded for the fastest eggs in Covington. Both museums will offer special activities from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m., including a variety of unusual eggs on display, bunnies to pet, springtime crafts and science activities. Member children are $3, and member adults and children age 1 and younger are free. The busiest time is 4 p.m.so if you arrive a little later, the kids won't have to wait in line.
