Growing at a rapid pace the Patanjali brand promoted by Baba Ramdev has offered good competition to other brands both local and global, and according to Ramdev himself, Patanjali will become the largest brand in India within 1-2 years. Patanjali claims that its shampoo has a 15 per cent market share, toothpaste 14 per cent, face wash 15 per cent, dish wash 35 per cent and honey 50 per cent. In a year, the Haridwar-based fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company's revenue has zoomed to more than Rs 10,000 crore.

The company is in the process of setting up mega production units at several places, including Noida, Nagpur, and Indore, which would take its production capacity to Rs60,000 crore from the existing Rs35,000 crore.

The Ayurved division registered Rs 9,346 crore in business for the financial year 2016-17. "Our kacchi ghani mustard oil is around Rs522 crore and would grow up to Rs1,000 crore", he added.
