Watch This Mysterious Teaser for Neill Blomkamp's Dystopian Short Film

Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Blomkamp is best known for directing the dystopian sci-fi film "District 9", which he co-wrote with his wife, Terri Tatchell, and was produced by Peter Jackson.

Blomkamp's "Oat Studios" venture is a set of experimental films that are, according to a recent tweet of his, "tests for potential full feature films".

Although many fans were upset that filmmaker Neill Blomkamp, director of District 9, Elysium and Chappie, was no longer making his Alien sequel, they'd be happy to see his latest work in the new Oats Studios project.

Celtics star Isaiah Thomas unsure if he'll need hip surgery
Would you rather see a finals with a pretty good team beating a solid team ? I fell in love with the game because of Mike. Even if Thomas had averaged 30 points per game the whole series , the Celtics would have been in major trouble.

"The new world altered everyone", the trailer's narrator says, though she could be talking about the film industry. While details about plot and cast are still kept under wraps, viewers notice two actresses in the teaser which very look like Dakota Fanning and Sigourney Weaver.

We don't know exactly when this film will come out, besides "soon", or what its length will be, besides "short".

Blomkamp first revealed the project past year after asking fans if they would be interested in purchasing short films off the (majorly) gaming platform Steam. Earlier this month, he showed off a 15 second teaser showing off a soldier shooting down. something.

Trump Likely Helped Gianforte's Special Election Win
Gianforte reportedly body-slammed reporter Ben Jones and broke his glasses after becoming enraged at a question about healthcare. After winning a special election, Greg Gianfonte is on his way to the US House of Representatives as a Montana Republican.

So what do we see? This forthcoming project will be the first of the series.

In fact, Blomkamp looks to be tackling a few Alien-esque ideas in a series of shorts.

Nevertheless, the teaser is intriguing, and could give Blomkamp the creative boost to once again reach the heights of the magnificent District 9.
