Marshawn Lynch relishes opportunity to play for hometown Oakland Raiders

Lynch said when he found out the Raiders were leaving Oakland to move to Las Vegas following the 2018 season, the Oakland native wanted to play for his hometown team.

"This is actually born and raised and bred pissing in them hallways and running down them alleyways", he said.

Playing in Oakland was obviously a big grab for Lynch, who is from the city.

"Just to play in Oakland is a dream come true".

LeBron undaunted by challenge of facing Warriors in Finals
They may be defending champions and they may have LeBron James , but against Golden State, they are definite underdogs. So, it's the right thing to do. "He's one of the most risky guys we have in the world already", James said.

"I mean, there's been always something to, being from Oakland that, you want to play at home and have the opportunity", Lynch told reporters on Tuesday. Maybe them [the Raiders] staying wouldn't have been such a big thing for me to come and want to play.

"Knowing they was leaving, a lot of the kids here probably won't have the opportunity to see most of their idols growing up, won't be in their hometown no more". Lynch agreed to a restructured $9 million, two-year deal that includes incentives that could increase the value even more.

Lynch connects with Oakland like only a select few do, and he expects to feel that on game day.

The Oakland Tech High School and Cal product was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 2007 draft and was traded to the Seahawks in 2010.

Ilagan, who attends Tates Creek Middle School in Lexington, successfully spelled the word "nephrotoxic", moving to the next round. The New Carlisle, Indiana, native says the competition itself is great, but it is the memories offstage that she will cherish.

Lynch continued to stress the importance of being a symbol of hope for the city of Oakland, allowing the people there to watch somebody perform from the area. And now I get an opportunity to play here.

Since joining the Raiders, Lynch has been a regular participant in the offseason program, unlike during his time in Seattle, and he generated buzz when coach Jack Del Rio posted a video Monday of Lynch running for a TD during practice. "I don't know, I think it's no different". "That's good what they've got going on... but I have a whole new Oakland behind me, though". It has one of the league's best offensive lines behind which to run.

The all-pro running back who played six seasons with the Seahawks and helped them win a Super Bowl, is almost as famous for his tight lips as he is for his bruising running style. He ran for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2014, but injuries limited him to just seven games in 2015. He's learning the new system so I like to make fun of him when he doesn't know stuff.
