Family declines autopsy for former North Korea detainee Otto Warmbier

The 22-year-old had been in the country as part of a sightseeing tour in January 2016, prior to being taken into custody for allegedly committing theft. He died Monday in Cincinnati.

"We can not know for sure that North Korea killed Mr Warmbier, but I believe it is quite clear that they have a heavy responsibility in the process that led to his death", Mr Moon told CBS television's "This Morning".

Trump condemned Pyongyang following news of his death.

Mr. Trump also referred to Warmbier's death as "a total disgrace."

The coroner's office in Cincinnati is investigating the death of the American college student who died less than week after his return from North Korea, where he was detained near a year and a half.

"In the final year of his life, [Mr Warmbier] lived the nightmare in which the North Korean people have been trapped for 70 years: forced labor, mass starvation, systematic cruelty, torture, and murder", Senator McCain, a former prisoner of war, said. He said he was kept isolated most of the time but not physically abused.

South Sudan's displaced see little chance of peace
But UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi said it was still a disheartening failure of worldwide diplomacy. He said about 2,000 people crossed the border from South Sudan into Uganda each day over the last twelve months.

Twenty-two-year-old Otto Warmbier (WORM'-bir) died in Cincinnati on Monday, not long after his return to OH after almost a year and a half in North Korean captivity.

"This did not have to happen and should never happen again".

Warmbier's death came just days after he was released by the North Korean government and returned to the United States suffering from what U.S. doctors described as extensive brain damage. So there is a possibility that Kim Jong-un continues to make the bluff with his nuclear weapons programs.

Doctors said he suffered extensive loss of brain tissue and "profound weakness and contraction" of his muscles, arms and legs.

They said that Warmbier's brain injury was probably caused by cardiopulmonary arrest cutting the blood supply to the brain. Trump announced Monday that Warmier has died.

Mystery still surrounds Warmbier's death, particularly how he ended up in a coma and what conditions he experienced while being held in North Korea.

Alberta fighter Tim Hague dies following boxing match in Edmonton
The 34-year-old's head bounced off the canvas in sickening fashion, and he laid motionless before the referee waved off the fight. Multiple reports surfaced stating that Hague had passed away Saturday morning, but his sister has since refuted those reports.

China is North Korea's single most important trading partner.

The Warmbier family's "objection to an autopsy was honored", the office said, and only an external examination was performed. Released last week, he was in a coma when he arrived home, unable to see, speak, or respond to verbal commands. "But they probably won't do it", Richardson said.

"Even today, there are many Korean nationals and American citizens who are detained in North Korea", Mr Moon added. Two were teachers at a Pyongyang university funded by overseas Christian groups, and the third a Korean-American pastor who was accused of espionage for the South.

He said in an interview on "CBS This Morning" broadcast Tuesday that while it's not clear exactly what happened, there can be speculation that North Korea made "unjust and cruel treatments" to Warmbier. "I think we have got to show them that we have the resolve and that we have the capability to do this".

Under their proposal, the Treasury Department would be ordered to prohibit all financial transactions related to travel to North Korea by Americans, unless specifically authorized by a USA license.
