Britain's Prince Philip retiring Wednesday after 65 years of service

After 65 years and more than 22,000 public appearances, Prince Philip has conducted his last ever solo official engagement.

In what will be Philip's final engagement, he will pay tribute to those who have taken part in a 1,664 Global Challenge, which is a series of strength and endurance feats to raise funds and awareness for the Royal Marines charity.

It marked the end of a charity challenge in which the marines ran 2,678 kilometres over 100 days to mark the founding of the commando force in 1664. "The Captain General's Parade will bring His Royal Highness's individual program to a conclusion, although he may choose to attend certain events, alongside The Queen, from time to time".

Her Majesty and Prince Philip have been married for over 70 years.

Why the New York Times wants an apology from Fox News
Several media outlets reported about it at the time , including the Times and Fox News. President Donald Trump comments on the "Fox & Friends" segment in a tweet on Saturday.

He carried out his last official public engagement at Buckingham Palace on August 2.

The Queen's Consort announced in May he would be retiring from royal engagements, a decision which was fully supported by the Queen and was not medically related.

In retirement, the Duke will likely enjoy more leisure time at Windsor Castle in Berkshire - he is an avid carriage driver and enjoys oil painting.

But the Telegraph's website published an article with the headline "Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, dies aged XX".

Carmelo Anthony trade rumors: Syracuse connection adds OKC to mix
Simmons noted that Thunder vice president Troy Weaver was the man that recruited Anthony to play his college ball at Syracuse. Several reports indicate that Anthony has his sights set on joining Chris Paul and James Harden in a Houston Rockets uniform.

The Duke announced that he planned to step down from official duties earlier this year, though it is assumed that he will still be seen by the public, attending public events in an unofficial capacity when he wishes.

Prince Philip is involved with over 780 organisations, in the capacity of patron, president or member.

As he met well wishers at St. James's Palace, one guest said, "I'm sorry to hear you're standing down".

According to Buckingham Palace, Philip may continue to accompany the Queen at events she is attending.

Trump dictated son's statement on Russian Federation talks
But within 24 hours, highly damaging revelations had emerged that made clear the meeting had been much more charged than that. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters Monday, "I believe he was making a joke at the time ".

The newspaper revealed the Duke's body is first expected to be taken to the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace in London, where it will likely lie until the day of the funeral.
