Scaramucci criticizes President Trump's response to the violence in Charlottesville

The controversial ex-White House figure asserted Sunday that he "wouldn't have recommended that statement".

Ousted White House communications boss Anthony Scaramucci claims there are figures in Washington actively working against President Donald Trump.

Scaramucci, whose turn on the communications team lasted for less than two weeks, said in an interview with ABC News' This Week the president needed to get "more loyalists in" to protect his position.

He's referring to Trump's comment following a brutal attack that left one dead and nearly 20 injured at a white supremacist rally Saturday. Instead Trump condemned the "egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides".

The aircraft was assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 and operating with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, or MEU. USA military forces have been operating in the area as part of a joint training exercise called Talisman Sabre.

Trump fielded bipartisan criticism on Saturday when he suggested that "many sides" were to blame for the violence at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, which ended in a vehicle plowing into a group of described "anti-racist" protesters - killing one person and injuring 19 others.

"He likes doing the opposite of what the media thinks he's going to do", Scaramucci said.

Earlier in the day Scaramucci told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos: "I think people are probably reluctant to tell him the truth".

"I believe that everyone who works in the White House, who has the privilege, the great privilege every day of serving their nation, should be motivated by that goal", McMaster said. The president is going to do what he wants to do, how he wants to do it.

Breitbart has close ties with the alt-right movement, an ideology that can be associated with white nationalism. "I'm not trying to build my own brand" on the president's coattails", he added.

When asked if he thought he deserved to be fired, Scaramucci said that "well obviously I wished they would've given me a bar of soap and told me to wash my mouth out in the bathroom and move on".

He closed: "I think the president knows what he's going to do with Steve Bannon". He has got to move more to the mainstream He has to be where the moderates and independents are that love the president.

The White House did not immediately respond to CNNMoney's request for comment about Scaramucci's remarks.

Moscow mule copper mugs may be toxic, officials say
Food experts have long known not to use copper, or copper-related pots and pans for cooking acidic recipes such as tomato sauce. If you're only drinking Moscow Mules occasionally - or even less than every day - you're probably not going to be poisoned.

Scaramucci spoke further about the bombastic phone call that he had with New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza, during which he criticized a number of his then-colleagues, including then-chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Steve Bannon.
